Yes, it is time to go skiing in Yosemite. Opening was a little delayed this year because the Sierra snow was delayed. But now it is open for all to visit. Glacier Point road might show as being closed on many sources, but it is open as far as the Ski Area at least. At any time you can use one of the many webcam sites to check conditions for yourself – just like I did with photo below a few minutes ago. This is right off the National Park Service (nps.gov) camera. Thanks NPS.

OK… I know the hills are not very big for you hotshot skiers, but it is a great place to learn. My whole family learned here even when the boys were very young. Perfect. And my wife and I used it to learn the basics so we could ski downhill better on our cross country skis.
Not shown here is fact that Badger Pass is the base camp and lodge for cross country skiing and snow shoeing on the south side of the valley. The experiences and views from skiing through the forest and looking over the edge into the valley are world class.
For the real active explorer you may want to check into overnight cabin cross country guided ski trips.
Whatever you do, please check the weather on the day of your outing in advance, so you can enjoy your day and get safely back down the mountain again.
