Open again after shutdown

Well after months of no guests it is such a welcome relief to see some nature seekers visiting the cottage again. We have implemented no contact check-in and all Covid safety schemes, including an extra day to air out between visitors.

Yes it does really look like the pictures here and on the vacation rental sites, except the big pond already dried up this year. But bring a swimsuit anyway as the pool is open plus the rivers of Yosemite are sometimes fun.

Note you need separate reservations for Yosemite Park (at least through July) as they have a quota system to allow practicing of social distancing rules. See https://www.nps.gov/yose for full details.

As for our many guests who planned to come from far away countries, we look forward to seeing you next year or some other time.

Just before the shutdown we had a lovely family visit for their wedding anniversary. We tried to get them a photo with full moon in the background, but the clouds would not cooperate. So the next day they scouted sites on the Frontier Hill property site itself and I shot a number of photos for them by the big rocks near the river just down from the cottage. Here is one of my favorites of the whole family after they edited it.
